1. Abortions protect women's health.
Legal abortion not only protects women's lives, it also protects their health. For tens of thousands of women with heart disease, kidney disease, severe hypertension, sickle-cell anemia and severe diabetes, and other illnesses that can be fatal, the availability of legal abortion has helped avert serious medical complications that could have resulted from childbirth. If abortion is not legalized, the women's choices were limited to dangerous illegal abortion or dangerous childbirth.
2. A woman is more than a “tissue”.
Those pro-abortionists think that babies’ lives are less valuable because they are merely “tissues” and have no soul.
Refute: A fetus is more than a piece of tissue.
Regarding Science and Medicine: Currently, all valid science and medicine is 100% clear that a fetus is a person. Practically, 100% of a person's genetic makeup is determined at the moment of conception. Science and medicine define being a person (human) by genetic means. According to science and medicine, a fetus is a distinct organism.
3. Outlawing abortion is discriminatory.
Anti-abortion laws discriminate against low-income women, who are driven to dangerous self-induced or back-alley abortions. That is all they can afford. But the rich can travel wherever necessary to obtain a safe abortion.
Refute: Now, low income women have much support and many options.
Often, the families of the mothers are willing to assist the mother. Many government programs are also designed to help low income women throughout all phases of bearing and raising children. Finally, adoption is an excellent choice for those women who don't have the financial strength to bear parenting. All expenses are paid, and more, for women who are willing to adopt out their newborn babies.
4. "Every child a wanted child."
If women are forced to carry unwanted pregnancies to term, the result is unwanted children. Everyone knows they are among society's most tragic cases, often uncared-for, unloved, brutalized, and abandoned. When they grow up, these children are often seriously disadvantaged, and sometimes inclined toward brutal behavior to others. This is not good for children, for families, or for the country. Children need love and families who want and will care for them.

Regarding the United States of America: People strongly desiring children are on lengthy waiting lists for the chance to adopt infants. In fact, adoptive parents pay tens of thousands of dollars in order to adopt, as well as submitting to various screening procedures. Adopted babies are treated almost as well as the biological children of married parents: they are not brutalized and abandoned. In general, the children which are seriously disadvantaged are those children who are fortunate enough to not have been aborted, but are unfortunate enough to be raised by the mother alone, without the father's assistance. In these cases, adoption is a better solution, too.
Since i start this research into this article,i realise that abortion is a cruel prosees. Is indeed inmoraly to kill a life,it is murdering .As the law in some place,murder or attemp murder are count as crime but why abortion is not a crime? Aren't baby are life too? even they were not born yet. Abortion – the process of removing a fetus from a mother’s womb thus killing the live fetus. Baby is one of the most innocent being of all time. Why kill this innocent being? No financial resource to raise it? Don’t want it? Then why have it from the beginning? I strong support that abortion should remain illegal now and forever. The only time that abortion is allow is when carrying the baby threaten the mother’s life.
Are parent so cruel that they have the heart to kill their own child? From the time when the fetus is about 4 to 5 weeks old the fetus’s brain started to develop rapidly. 1. Make contraception more easily available.
People usually don’t use contraception because it is expensive. Studies estimated that there are more than three million unintended pregnancies each year. Therefore, the availability of contraception should be increased. Easier access would prevent hundreds of thousands of unintended pregnancies and abortions. Nowadays, some hotels are providing free condoms.
2. Give the teenagers proper sex education
These programs like no-apology provide young people with a comprehensive understanding of the facts about sex. Instead of letting them to explore sex themselves, sex education will increase their knowledge and responsibility and fulfill their curiosity. With the enough education, teenagers bear the knowledge of the consequences and will think twice before involving in premarital sex.
3. Increase the involvement of men.
Facing pregnancy problem, men should not leave the problem alone to the women. Men should also bear their responsibilities for being a FATHER. Many family planning agencies now run programs which help men recognize their equal responsibility in all aspects of sexuality: decision-making, obtaining and using contraception, and handling any crisis which occurs.
4. Create new birth control methods
The most common method of birth control for married couples is sterilization as it offers the best protection against unintended pregnancy. However, sterilizations are permanent. Normally, public refuses to undergo sterilizations to prevent pregnancies. On the other hand, among the "temporary" methods, none is perfect. All have the probability that cannot be 100% effective protection. Hence, new birth control methods are required.
5. Care more for the children
In this materialistic world, parents are busy pursuing each career. Children always become the ones that are being ignored. Thus, they tend to quest for intimacy as sexual expression is often the only way they can feel being loved. Eventually, becoming pregnant, or causing pregnancy, is a tragic outcome.
1. Abortion does not give the child that is in the womb a chance at life. The baby also has a chance of living. Killing the baby is also considered as murdering as the baby is a life.
2. The child may have special talent and ability that can bring benefits to the society.
3. Having an abortion always lessens the mothers’ chances for having children later in life. Even though it doesn't happen to many women, the probability is still high as the mothers’ bodies may be unfit to have babies in the future.
4. The mothers who choose abortion will feel guilty. The loss of life and the emotional scars will be carried by the woman for the rest of her life.
5. Abortion is against God’s will. Babies are the gifts from God. Therefore, we should cherish them and take good care of them. Thus, abort a baby is considered committing a sin in the religious perspective.
Eventually, there is an alternative to solve the problem. Instead of aborting the baby, the baby can be given up for adoption. Let him have a chance to live, have a chance to breathe….
Abortion can be traced to ancient time. Evidences show that abortion during that time might be done with the using of herbs, sharp weapons, abdominal pressure and other techniques.

Furthermore, the use of candles and other objects, such as glass rods, penholders, curling irons, spoons, sticks, knives, and catheters was reported during the 19th-century in the United States.
In around nineteenth century, the same era when the medicine field developed rapidly with the introduction of surgery, anesthesia and sanitation, doctors with the American Medical Association lobbied for bans on abortion in the United States and the British Parliament passed the Offences Against the Person Act.In Malaysia, abortion is still illegal under Malaysia Abortion’s Act 1967.
Recently, abortion has become one of the controversial topics in this world. In some countries, abortion is legalized. However, in my opinion, abortion should be illegal except under special circumstances when the baby can harm the mother’s health.
The baby has the right to live and no human has the right to kill another human. The baby in the mother's womb is not just tissues, he is a living organism. I am also being told that babies will try to avoid those needles or “knives” that are used to abort them during the abortion process as they can sense and they are struggling to live. Besides, the baby in the womb has not done anything wrong. However, he has to pay for what the parents have done. This is so unfair, he can’t even breath and yet, he is condemned to death. In the process of some abortions, evacuation is needed. The baby has to be cut into pieces and dies in agony. The child is at the mercy of the parents when he should not have to be. Parents should be responsible for what they have done, instead of letting the baby to bear the consequences. Lastly, abortion is against God’s law in many Holy books such as the Bible and the Quran. God has given us the gifts of lives. We should protect them instead of snatching away their lives. Only God can decide the livings, not we human beings.
In conclusion, abortion should be made illegal as abortion is a murder. Everyone has the right of living. Therefore, please! Please don’t support abortion. Think of the babies, they are innocent. They deserve to live!

God creates life. Thus, life is considered as a gift of God and it should be cherished, nourished and protected. In several places in the Bible states that God knew us before we were conceived. God’s love towards all lives was shown when He sent His only Son to die for our sins. One of the Ten Commandments says, “Do not commit murder.” God values the lives of unborn children, then abortion would have to be seen as a crime on the same level as murder, and therefore it is a sin to abort a child.
They believe that there are circumstances in which terminating an unborn foetus is justified. Although the fetus is to be specially respected and protected, nonetheless, abortion is permissible if it endangers the life of the mother” Buddhism
Dalai Lama: “Of course, abortion, from a Buddhist viewpoint, is an act of killing and is negative, generally speaking. But it depends on the circumstances. If the unborn child will be retarded or if the birth will create serious problems for the parent, these are cases where there can be an exception."
Buddhism generally disapproves abortion. Abortion is considered as an act of destructing a living being, and a violation of the First Precept.
Nevertheless, abortion might be allowed in specific, limited circumstances. Buddhism recognizes there are times when an abortion might be necessary - when the mother's life is at risk.
Hinduism
Gandhi, perhaps the most respected Hindu of the twentieth century, said: "It seems to me clear as daylight that abortion would be a crime."
Hinduism teaches that abortion is a great crime thwarts a soul in its progress toward God. It teaches that the fetus is a living, conscious person needing and deserving protection. Hindu scriptures refer to abortion as garha-batta (womb killing) and bhroona hathya (killing the undeveloped soul) and the Atharva Veda remarks that abortionist as the greatest of sinners.
Islam
Islam teaches that life begins at conception and is the creation of God. Therefore, life is considered as a sacred gift from God Almighty. No one is allowed to take or stop the life of anyone else except by way of justice or according to the Islamic law. Abortion on any grounds is forbidden in the Islamic holy book Al'Quran.
Muslim scholars generally regard abortion as wrong and forbidden. However, abortion is only permitted if the woman's life is threatened by pregnancy as this is believed as the 'lesser of two evils' and there is a general principle in Sharia (Muslim law) of choosing the lesser of two evils.
After doing the research with our group title, “abortion”, I strongly feel that it is really cruel. To me, abortion is exactly murder and can be defined as baby-killing. Both born baby and fetus are the precious gifts from God. Their life is equally valuable since the fetus is going to be a human being. They should have the rights of their own. Imagine that if you have gone through the abortion, how could you live with yourself knowing that you killed an innocent little baby? If you don’t get to keep that baby, you will never know what you could have had.
Besides, those doctors who perform abortions should be ashamed for helping one murder just for money. On the other hand, abortion should only be allowed when the fetus endangers the mother’s life. The fetus has to be taken out in order to save the mother.
In conclusion, abortion is inhumane and we should stop abortions for good.
I am firmly against abortion as it is wrong and cruel. Children are the best gift from God, but people are taking innocent babies lives away through abortion. Thus, it is religiously wrong as it against the God’s will. Besides, abortion is another type of murder. Although fetus is not born yet, it is still considered as a human being and has been proven that it has own feeling when reached the 11th weeks. Why would someone not think of the consequences before they make any decision? However, I feel that abortion can only be accepted if the mother’s health is in danger.
So, think carefully before you act. If you don't want a child, don't abort it - give it up for adoption so they can have a chance to live. Pick a non violent act and stop abortions for good.
First–trimester surgical abortion (the first 3 months of pregnancy)
During the first 3 months, the fetus will be smaller. Therefore, evacuation is not required. Firstly, the speculum is used to hold cervix. Then, suction is applied by inserting a syringe or a cannula (tube) attached to a suction machine. This procedure usually requires a few minutes to complete. Finally, the doctor will use a curette to scrap the womb and check the tissue to make sure it has all been taken out.
Second–trimester surgical abortion (the second 3 months of pregnancy)
There are several ways:
1. Hysterectomy:
In this surgeon, the mother’s uterus is cut open and the baby is directly removed. If the baby was not killed during the removal, he would be left aside to die.
The abortionist will stick a long needle into the mother’s abdomen and either saline or urea solution will be injected into the baby’s amniotic fluid sac. After that, the mother will be given drugs to deliver the dead child. There are cases that some babies survived through the procedure. Therefore, some surgeons even inject a fatal drug into the baby’s heart.
3. D&E (dilation and extraction/evacuation)
Guided by ultrasound, the abortionist grabs the baby’s legs with forceps. Then the baby’s head is pulled out into the birth canal. The abortionist delivers the baby’s entire body, except the head. The abortionist will jam the scissors into the baby’s skull, and the scissors are used to enlarge the skull. Then, the scissors are removed and a suction catheter is inserted. The child's brains are sucked out, causing the skull to collapse. This is to ensure that the baby is not born alive and is easier to be pulled out. The dead baby is then removed.
The baby's heart starts beating between the 18th and 24th day after conception.
Around the 6th week, we can detect the baby’s brainwaves.
At the 8th week, the baby is completely formed: All of his organs can function; he can even urinate and have his very own finger prints. At this stage he can feel pain, he kicks his legs, moves the tiny toes and fingers, and even wow makes a strong fist.
After 11 weeks, the baby has a heartbeat, can turn his head, enjoy a sweet dream, taste and hear. He can feel and make expressions, like a smile, and can also suck his chubby thumbs like any other children.
The unborn is indeed living. The baby is not purely a group of tissues like what those pro-abortionists say.
Now, the life is in your hand. How could we be so cruel enough to take away an innocent life? See, doesn’t the smile suit him well?

There are two methods of abortion. The first one is surgical abortion which is the most common type of procedure. This is an invasive medical procedure that is done in a hospital or abortion facility. There are different methods of abortion that are performed throughout all 9 months of pregnancy.
Besides, the another method of abortion is chemical abortion, also known as RU-486, is a combination of pharmaceutical drugs that can be taken orally or by injection to cause an abortion. The process requires multiple doctor visits and induces severe cramping and bleeding which women experience on average 7-30 days. This method will possibly causes some side effects.
Nowadays, abortion is a controversial issue and is unacceptale in most of the countries. Increasingly, surrogate births are happening in all around the world.
Do you ever wonder about how many innocent babies aborted everyday? Well, in the worldwide, the number of abortions per day is approximately 126,000 cases. Then, if the number of abortions per day multiply 365 days, so abortions that happen in every year is aboout 46 Million cases. 78% of all abortions are obtained in developing countries and 22% occur in developed countries. Worldwide, the lifetime average is about 1 abortion per woman.

Based on social morality theory, abortion should not be legalized. Firstly, it is against religious belief. Religions believe that baby is a gift from God. Thus, we should appreciate and take good care of the baby.
Besides, abortion is illegal. Baby also has human rights. Therefore, it is considered a crime and it devaluates a human life by simply taking away a precious life.
Moverover, we citizens also have the responsibility to protect our next generation. If abortion is legalised, premaritial sex will be provoked and the social population will decrease.
